Latest updates from the PLAN-B project

The latest newsletter from AquaPLAN’s sister project, PLAN-B is out now! This issue has all the latest news and events from their consortium, including their upcoming online workshop on noise pollution and biodiversity (detais below), updates from the 2025 ALAN Conference in Ireland and how you can support the European movement for light pollution regulation. PLAN-B are hosting an online workshop on noise pollution and biodiversity on 26 November 2025 from 14:15–17:15 CET. Experts from across Europe will gather to discuss how noise pollution affects biodiversity and how we can mitigate its impacts through better policies and conservation measures. This interactive workshop will explore innovative approaches to reduce environmental noise, protect ecosystems, and strengthen biodiversity conservation across terrestrial and aquatic habitats. Join the workshop and be part of the conversation shaping future noise mitigation strategies for a healthier, quieter planet, you can learn more and register here.

Lastly, to better understand views on light and noise pollution they are inviting people to take part in their online survey on the social and psychological drivers of pollution. The survey is open to everyone will take around 15-20 minutes to complete and closes on 31 December 2025. As an added bonus, all participants will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win a €50 voucher! Participate in the survey here.
