12th World Conference on Ecological Restoration (SER2027)
The SER2027 conference theme,“Restoration in Motion: Bridging Land, Water, and People,” focuses on integrated approaches to ecological restoration across landscapes, freshwater systems, marine environments, and communities. It highlights the need to view restoration as a connected process, recognising that land, water, ecosystems, and people are interdependent and that successful restoration requires collaboration between science, practice, policy, governance, finance, and local communities.
The conference encourages contributions that combine ecological and social dimensions, promote evidence-based restoration practices, and support long-term environmental and societal resilience. Reflecting its setting in Lisbon, Portugal, where the Tagus River meets the Atlantic, the theme emphasises the links between ecosystem restoration, climate adaptation, and community wellbeing.
Proposals for symposia and training courses are invited and must be received no later than 7 October 2026.
