Consortium

The AquaPLAN consortium is led by University of Pisa (UNIPI) in Italy and comprises of a multi-actor, transdisciplinary team of 13 organisations from 9 countries.

The coverage of all key aquatic habitats for the study of light and noise pollution (LNP)’s combined impacts is ensured by the diverse expertise within the consortium, covering freshwater (FVB-IGB, ULEI), estuarine (ULEI, UOA), offshore (IMR, ULEI, SZN, UiT) and coastal marine systems (UNIPI, UOP, SZN, CSIC, UOA for temperate and BIU for tropical systems). The multidisciplinarity between physical/natural and social sciences that pervades all AquaPLAN WPs is ensured by the strong expertise of PML, CEFAS and SZN.

These competences, in addition to all partners’ participation (and/or coordination) in multiple national and international projects (see Related Links), will foster all communication, dissemination, exploitation and outreach activities under the mentorship of ERINN, which boasts the supervision of a long list of projects in this field.
