AquaPLAN to feature at the 4th Farma Valley Winter Festival
The 4th Winter Festival ‘4° Festival d’inverno’ is an event organised by the pibinko.org network that will be held in Torniella and Piloni from 12-14 December 2025.
The Programme will include:
- 12 December: Symposium and participatory design workshop on the theme of interdisciplinary and participatory management of marginal rural areas
- 13 December: Excursions and site inspections. In case of inclement weather, indoor outreach and recreational activities will be held
- 14 December: Excursions and site inspections. In bad weather, indoor outreach and recreational activities.
As part of AquaPLAN’s networking and outreach activities to raise awareness on the responsible use of light, more sustainable practices and promoting dark sky areas, our coordinator Elena Maggi will participate online with a short talk on AquaPLAN.
The pibinko.org network is a multidisciplinary initiative founded by Andrea Giacomelli (aka “pibinko”) that combines culture, environment, open innovation, and music. It started in 2006 and operates primarily from Southern Tuscany, Italy, but with international collaborations. The network brings together individuals and organisations to work on projects that promote sustainable development, rural revitalization, and creative engagement through participatory methods. The Farma Valley Winter Festival is the brainchild of Andrea Giacomelli. The event is organised in collaboration with Pro Loco Piloni-Torniella, Associazione Filarmonica Popolare di Torniella, Unione Sportiva Torniella, Tattistampa, Colline Metallifere Jug Band, La Murciaiola APS, Polytechnic University of Milan, and AquaPLAN coordinator University of Pisa (and other universities and research institutions).
