EIFAAC workshop on the problems and challenges of climate change, and its impact on inland aquatic resources and fisheries of Europe

This online workshop aims to provide a platform for sharing key research findings.
Additionally, the workshop will focus on future directions, synthesising existing studies to identify knowledge gaps, define research priorities, and explore adaptation strategies, both those currently in practice and potential approaches to sustain inland fisheries in an era of climate change.
This European Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Advisory Commission (EIFAAC) – Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) online workshop brings together leading scientists from across Europe and America who will present their latest research on topics covering the challenges climate change poses for inland fisheries, including:
- The evolving impacts of climate change on inland fisheries
- Freshwater ecosystem responses to environmental shifts
- Adapting fish monitoring programs to a changing climate
- Innovative solutions for sustainable fisheries management
With a focus on cutting-edge research and real-world adaptation strategies, this workshop will provide insights for researchers, policymakers, and fisheries managers.
