AquaPLAN Video
The AquaPLAN video raises awareness of light and noise pollution (LNP) in aquatic habitats. Told from the point of view of the animals, it conveys how LNP can impact aquatic life and explains AquaPLAN’s aims, approach and possible solutions. Funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme (along with UKRI), AquaPLAN is a €2.6M, 4-year project that is quantifying the combined impacts of LNP on aquatic biodiversity in European waters and facilitating the implementation of empirically sound strategies for managing these pollutants through novel interdisciplinary approaches. The video was developed by ERINN Innovation and Ology Animations.
Underwater Sound Recordings
Marine Underwater Sound Recordings Provided by Caruso’s Lab, Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (SZN), Italy A selection of underwater sound recordings from our marine research which includes natural recordings of species such whales, dolphins, fish and shrimp, and recordings of anthropogenic activities such as seismic surveys, fishing trawlers and container ships. We want to raise awareness of the noise pollution from anthropogenic activities and provide an opportunity for people to experience what a selection of sounds are like underwater!
