FishSounds Online Seminar Series: Underwater Noise Pollution with Kieran Cox
FishSounds Educate is excited to present an 8-part online seminar series all about underwater sounds and their study, presented by an international group of bioacoustics researchers! They have invited an international group of bioacoustics researchers to provide overviews and insights into this emerging field—encompassing sounds produced by marine mammals, fishes, and invertebrates as well as soundscapes, noise pollution, global collaborations, and fisheries applications. They will also have one week discussing a community-led journal special issue centered on the themes covered by the seminar series. They hope these seminars will be of interest and accessible to a broad audience of students, managers, researchers, the public.
All seminars will be on Fridays at 9 am Pacific time over Zoom. Register for each seminar of interest by clicking the links in the schedule below. All talks will also be recorded and made available on the FishSounds YouTube channel.
