eDNA Webinar: Novel approaches and technologies in biodiversity monitoring

As part of their ongoing work to harmonise biodiversity monitoring across Europe, the European Biodiversity Partnership, Biodiversa+ is hosting a series of experience-sharing sessions featuring partners and experts on best practices.
This webinar explored the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) for biodiversity monitoring in Europe. Biodiversa+ pilot coordinators Julia Seeber (EURAC Research, Bolzano) and Nina Prasil-Delaval (PatriNat, France) discussed their progress using eDNA for soil and marine biodiversity monitoring, respectively. Katrine Hansen Lemming (Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment, Denmark) then introduced a pilot project on eDNA methods in freshwater environments.
